WHAT A ROTTEN WARRANTY!!!!

I purchased a Frigidaire stove from Lowe's in Morehead, KY on July 13, 2006. I also purchased your extended warranty for 4 years. In January I called for a new heating element for the oven and the two large burners needed replaced. It took me around 2 to 3 weeks to get my heating element replaced. He did not bring the ives either. He told me he would be ordering the ives and sending them to me. After a week or two I called him to see what the hold up was on my ives, he never did answer his phone, so I left several messages for him to call me back. He never did return my calls. So we got on the phone with the Lowe's Warranty again. They tried contacting that service agent, Eastside Appliances. They were not able to contact him either. They did a follow up with me. Then they sent someone else out to look at the stove. They did not just take my word that the 2 large ives on my stove were messed up. He said he would order the ives for me. Tomorrow makes it two weeks since he has been here. I have not had another word from the people that looked at my stove. I am not happy about this. I have six children to cook for. This is very hard to do with the stove messed up. If one of my family gets electrocuted by this stove since it has not been fixed yet, I will sue Lowe's. I have been trying to get ives for my stove for almost 2 months now. I still have no idea when I am going to get these ives. I am very disappointed with the quality of service from Lowe's Extended Warranty protection.

I would like for Lowe's to issue me a full refund for the purchase of this range and the purchase of my 4 year extended warranty. Lowe's Extended Warranties are practically worthless. They do not live up to customer expectations. I do not want another Frigidaire stove. I do not even want to buy a stove from Lowe's at this point. At least Sears do give good quality in home service for their products. Their service man that serviced my products before was very nice and prompt. Lowe's service people fell off the cliff with bad service.

that does suck.

all i can say is... if they do send another technician out... have him
give you a copy of what he did and what he says he'll do, and have it
signed.

:(

hope you get your stove fixed!

Buy used appliciances.

They are better made, last longer, and is most cases come with a
better warranty out the door than the Lowes and Home Depots of the
world. Some will even repaint them to look brand new. Andddd they are
much much much cheaper!

Good Day

That is truly rotten warranty service, but, at best, Lowe's should
refund the cost of the extended service warranty, not the cost of the
range itself.

That said, Lowe's has "ives" (aka burner elements) available for
purchase online and in their stores for about $30 apiece. I'd buy and
install the two so that you aren't further inconvenienced. I would
then contact Lowe's corporate for a refund of the cost of their fairly
useless extended warranty and the replacement cost of the two ives
(which should have been replaced for free long before now).

I grew up in TN and have heard the term Ives...which I believe she
simply meant eyes of the burner. What she actually cookes on. To
those asking below. He brought the heating elements but not the
burners/eyes themselves.

I agree this was slow service, but then again she purchased this in
2006. I don't think a refund is in order for the range. However some
type of credit perhaps for the lagging service.

I agree those extra extended warranties should of gotten her quicker /
better service.
