My husband and I bought the Cabrio washing Machince from the Lowes in Schererville it was a floor model, we had it delivered the next day and my husband was down there making sure he told the guy what was hot and what was cold to make a long story short the guy hooked up the hot with the cold and the cold with the hot in the back of the machine. I did a load of kids clothes and then the next day did another load to find out the cold water was steaming I then found out by that happening the day before I pretty much boiled my kids clothes and they shruk, I called Lowes to let them know and they had the guy who handles deliveries call me, he then told me I have to talk to the driver so we did, and told him what he did then I called the other guy back who then tells me well if there is damage to the clothes I need those clothes for the driver before I can do anything I was like ok if the driver wants little girls clothes but I never heard of such a thing. Well the washing maching was rerturned due to malfuctioning problems we then bought a fisher and pickel washer and dryer from the the same lowes another floor model to find out this one does not drain. We now have to return this one and replace it with another model that matches the dryer and I have to pay 300.00 for the difference, After all I went threw I shouldn't of had to pay anything, nothing from this was solved I do not like they way any of this was handled, for one I should have never even had to deal with that driver after he hooked it up wrong and guess who picked up my washing machine when it was broke? Now what if I followed threw and that man was coming back in my house mad??Hello! And also 2 returns, somethings wrong there.I never did call the guy back or give him the clothes I did not think I should have to do something like that. He told me because the driver is going to have to pay for those items.

I want them to look into how to handle this I do not think people should haave to deal with the drivers after a bad delivery and I do not like the way we were treated I feel as though my husband and I were call lairs when we had to change the water lines back ourselfs, and then having to retun it due to other things wrong with it and then buying another broken unit,we are a big family and this really did inconvience us.

Did you send this exact letter to Lowes? If so, why? Admittedly you
have issues when purchasing washing machines, but your grammar,
spelling and structure are below a 5th grade level. You should have
someone else proof anything you send out of your house. Not good.

I've never had issues with Lowes. They always take care of things.
But the delivery service is outsourced. That's your real problem.
Stop buying floor models too. Just a suggestion.

This is so difficult to read due to the lack of puncuation.

Of course they need the ruined clothes so they can determine how much
to give you in damages.

I can't comment on the rest of this because it's way too hard to
follow.

Cheat sheet (so to speak ;) ) by donno Thu January 24, 2008 @ 7:22 PM

Something about this sounds odd to me. Why would your husband feel
the need to tell a professional which is the hot and which is the cold
water? Then after hubby did that, why were they wrong?
If you're a big family, you should do like Donno says and put the
clothes in a drawer. You can use them as hand-me-downs.

Is there some reason for suggesting the delivery people have a fetish
for children's clothing? They need that clothing to prove your loss,
and arrive at a replacement value. If you don't want them replaced,
then keep them in a drawer somewhere, but what use are they to you
now?

Was the delivery driver rude or angry? You didn't mention it. He
made a simple mistake, and one I'm sure he feels bad about. Why
shouldn't he come back, if all he did was make a mistake?

You had two floor models, and while the fact they both didn't work
right is unfortunate, I don't see why Lowes should give you a higher
priced machine to replace what you paid for.

Did you have to buy a higher priced machine? Why not buy the original
unit, and wait a few days for a new one?
