Low Price Guaranteed Not Honored

I would like to bring to your attention a problem I had with the price and value at Lowe's, and I hope someone can do something about it. The store I'm referring to is located at Thunderbird / 85th Ave. This incident has left me quite annoyed.

I called Lowes Sunday afternoon to ask if I could print out an internet price on a product advertised and bring it into the store. I was told I could. So I drove to your location in Peoria off Thunderbird and 85Ave ish. I went to the garbage disposal isle and I spoke to the sales rep there. I even showed him the ad. I think his name was Dave. Anyway, the garbage disposal was a special order item. He told me that he would order it and I would have to take it to the cashier to receive the discount. Your site had it advertised at about $235 and I found it on the internet for $189. He placed the order and told me that I would get the discount at the cashier's station. I took his sheet up to the counter. The cashier had to get assistance. A lady came to help out. She ended up leaving with my sheet and came back and gave me a discount of $229. I showed her the print out price that was $189 and she said the suggested retail said $229. I told her that the price this company is charging me is $189 plus tax. She called her manager or someone. She said that Lowes will only honor certain stores. I was so mad. She wasted all this time and was unable to match the price. I didn't see anything posted saying that Lowes will only match certain companies. Besides, if that was the case, why waste all my time in the store. I just walked out and gave my business to the internet store.

Because of this, I am uncertain whether I will return to Lowe's in the future , and I don't know whether I will tell my friends and family to shop there.

Here's what I'd like to see happen: I would like you to honor your low price guarantee. If you can't, why say you will. Why put a customer through all that hastle? I would like the difference sent back to me as your company has advertised.

I hope you are willing to address my concerns. I look forward to receiving a response within 10 business days.
