On 12/30/2007 Myself and my family were shopping at the EXTON PA.STORE while atempting to try on a leather coat in the womens section of the store the attached alarm went off and a few minutes later a store employee came over to disarm it and quickly walked off before we could ask her to unhook the coat my wife wanted to try on.so as the woman walked away i followed behind her to she reached another store employee where she decided to releave her feelings about the stress this alarm going off has caused her and her views on the persons involved.as i stood unknowingly behind her less the 2 feet away she proceded to tell the other Sales woman how the "BLACK IGNORANT WOMAN WHO LOOKS LIKE THE COULD NOT AFFORD TO BUY ANYTHING SET THE ALARM OFF AND SHE DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHY THESE PEOPLE ARE EVEN IN THE STORE SHOPPING".While there were other racial type remarks made i proceded to place a call to my wife which this woman and informed her of what i was hearing from a simple accident and as she continued speaking on the issue i became louder on the phone until my conversation interupted her and she turned around and seen me behind her at that point she stopped everything and walked directly back to the Plus size section of the store leaving Mid conversation with the other woman she was speaking with which seemed unsure of what just happened and i remarked to her that it was myself and family to which her remarks were directed.just to inform you i do believe the hurtful remarks were served because WE are an Interacial Family. So after this i went to find a Store Manager and i expressed my concerns to Him in great detail and was assured by him that i would be contacted BY 01/02/2008 by himself and a personal from H.R. about the issue as of today i have not been contacted. So at this time i would like to inform you that Not only will we return the $550.00 leather jacket purchased that night but will also return the $2371.19 in other purchases made by my wife that night and the $640+ in Purchases I made myself and i would also like to inform you that MY Family Shops there on a weekly basis and your store will now Loose the $2000-$3500 a month we spend there it may not inpact your store any by losing our business but it Will bring peace of mind that WE WILL NOT BE TREATED LIKE THAT FOR ANY REASON.also i will be returning $800.00 in gift cards that were purchased for christmas gifts i will now be exchanging them to my family for Lord & Taylors gift cards and i do not mind driving the extra 60 minutes to the closest location it will give me the peace of mind that i do not have to be profiled by Macy's Employees.
GOOD DAY
Albert J.

Other than most gift card sales being final, I'm completely with you.
That employee should be fired. Hell, I think she should be
blackballed from working period. Let her wallow in her own racist
misery.

Geez, if someone is going to be a racist bigot, at least have enough
brains to keep the mouth shut.

The manager sure dropped the ball. Someone should have called you,
certainly by today.
