My 2 1/2 year old Maytag Centennial (Commercial Technology) Washing machine has been diagnosed as needing a new "timer". The repair service has already charged me $85 plus tax to came and diagnose the problem. To make matters worse for them to come back and replace the piece will be another $179. plus tax. I cannot believe that a 2 1/2 year old Maytag washer, only used by two adults...

Called for a repair to my Maytag washer. It took 2 days to come out. Then to find out the machine needed major repairs. Well then it took 2 days to order the parts one which is on back order. How in the world can a part from the manufacturer be back ordered? We were told today that it was off back order and would take a week to get to the repair company. Our Maytag dishwasher, model MDB8751AWW was purchased from Sears approximately 4 years ago. It has been a lemon since the day we bought it. Just in the past 30 days, I will have spent 6 half-days at home waiting for a repairman for the same problem. We bought the top of the line - commercial technology - Maytag washer & dryer on Sears.com May 28, 2011.
