My maytag washer will not spin, the door does not lock and it is growing mold even after drowning it in 2 gallons of bleach!!!!...there was a class action suit ref this but it was 3 yrs ago...too late for me...I paid $2400.00 for the set 8 yrs ago thinking it would last for mat least 12-15 years NOT 8 yearS!!!!!!!! Mold is growing in the rubber and it is useless and i hate it!

I think Maytag should pay me the repair kit for the non spinning and Doorlock issue...I have spent enough money on this already!!!!!!!! MOLD, BLACK MOLD TOO!! In a washer thats used every 2 days ....HOW and WHY??????????

You missed the class action suit and they are not going to pay to
repair an 8 yr old machine. Do you leave the door open after you're
finished using the machine for the day? You should, it helps with the
mold issue. If search the net there is also a product to try to use
to eliminate it.

by What's all this receipt nonsense? Posted Fri December 5, 2008 @ 12:56 AM

Your symptoms and request are in accordance with the deficiencies
stated in the class action suit, which covered machines purchased
between 1997 and 2004. You evidently bought yours around 2000, right
in the middle.

However, you are too late. The class action suit settlement is over.
You can't participate once it is over.
