Understandably frustrated consumer with a non-functioning dishwasher still under warranty

I bought a Maytag dishwasher and Dependability contract (5 year extended warranty) from Vic's Maytag in Abbotsford BC Canada in January, 2007. The dishwasher has never functioned properly, usually just coating the dishes with fine food particles so that we have to hand wash them anyway. For the last year, it has sat completely unused. Maytag has sent out servicemen four times, each time they acknowledge that the dishwasher makes the dishes dirty, but say that there is nothing they can do to repair it. Basically, what they are saying is a dishwasher that makes dishes dirty is working properly. If I bought a Maytag stove and it made food cold, I guess they would say that works properly too. So I have this warranty that cost me $80 and is good until 2012, and I have a useless dishwasher taking up space in my house. They don't even answer my letters, emails, or phone calls anymore, even though I have always been polite and straightforward with them. You can see a video detailing this problem and showing exactly how their dishwasher makes dishes dirty at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvaJqcdBOC4
A company that does not stand behind its product is not worth buying from. Both Vic's Maytag and Maytag in general are a disgrace to consumer rights and to our free market system in general.

I want a full refund for the non-functioning dishwasher and the non-functioning extended warranty. At this point, with the amount of time, energy, and frustration they have caused me, this is the least they could do.

The only time I ever get food particles on dishes is when you dont
rinse your plates off before putting it in the dishwasher.

You also might want to check your drainage.

Do a few checks online, dishwashers are real easy to fix, but you do
have to maintain them.

Ours is over 20 years old now and is still running strong, but they do
require maintenance, just like refrigerators and other appliances.

Good Day

Wow, it seems like Maytag is working backwards here.

I think even with my company, the dishwasher would have been replaced
by now.

They should give you a new dishwasher. I would be disgusted if I had a
dishwasher that...got my dishes dirty and never clean!

I hope they do something to help you. Good luck.
