We bought a Maytag French Door refrig 3 years ago at Home Depot. We got a good deal on the refrig because it was the current year model. We got it home and found out the refrigerator did not work, but the freezer did!!! We called Maytag and they sent a repairman out. Found out it had to be replaced. So they shipped us a brand new refrig, current year model, just beautiful!! Now barely 3 years later the SAME thing happened on the 4th of July. The refrigerator stops working, and the freezer is still working. We had to load all the food we could into an extra refrig we had in the garage. We had family company that week and this was very inconvenient to say the least. We called & had a repaireman come out that following week and was charged almost $200.00 because the FAN went out!! This has to be a manufactor defect. Two refrigerators in a row?? I don't think so. The model# is MFD2561HES S/N 10815803GE.

I would like my money back, the cost of the food that we lost and Maytag to give us a free extended warranty for the next 5 years to cover future repairs. I have a feeling this is going to happen again. I don't know what happened to Maytag name, it must have died a long time ago. Years ago it was the most reliable product going, when you had a Maytag product you had QUALITY!!

Just out of curiousity, why didn't this fall under the extended
warranty you bought on the refrigerator at the time of the original
sale?
