Very poor quality product and horrible customer service

I bought a Maytag fridge 4 years ago and the fan has already malfunctioned twice. My brother bought the same fridge and his fan also malfunctioned. I contacted their customer service department and they booked an appointment with a repair company in Hamilton. When I contacted the Hamilton repair company, they informed me that they did not service my town. So I contacted the service department again and they booked another appointment with another repair company. When I contacted the second repair company I was put on hold for an hour and when I finally got through they informed me that they never received a work order. So I contacted the service department a third time and they finally put through the order. When the repair man finally came, he told me they did not have the part and I would have to wait for the part to be ordered. So, my fridge has been broken for 5 days with no end in sight. Not to mention the trays fall out when you open the door and food freezes when you put it in the back of the fridge. I will never buy another Maytag product again.
Fix my fridge!

I understand what you're saying, Peter. The Maytag brand no longer stands for quality, and apparently the company cannot even provide you with the proper service either.
I have read other complaints about the shelves falling off the door, which can certainly create a hazard, not to mention the inconvenience. I have a Maytag refrigerator, and fortunately the shelves stay put, but I do have the freezing problem. There is a unit inside that blows cold air, and anything placed near it freezes, causing loss of storage ares on most of the top shelf. It's obviously poorly designed.
Anyway, I'm with you. I have three Maytag appliances, and they have all failed me miserably. I also will never trust the Maytag name again.

This just sounds like some bad communication with a repair company; but wouldn't this fall just as much on your shoulders as anyone?
Whereas there is no specifics as to the refrigerator being under warranty, why don't you just contact a service center you wish to work with?
