MBNA rang me to say that someone had been using my credit card fraudulently. I went through the normal security, they told me which transaction had been rejected, the value and when. Once I confirmed it wasn't mine, they cancelled the card. That is the correct order for things to happen. I've heard of several CC companies cancelling cards without informing the card holder when they suspect...

The complaints are too numberous to write in a few sentences but I want to warn other people, doing business with MBNA or FIA can be a nightmare and cost you a lot of money!
I expect nothing from them. We will not deal with this institution even again.

I received a notice of an increase to my purchase APR in April 2007. My rate is scheduled to go from 9.9 to 19.9 on May 1st, 2007. I immediatly rejected the change to my account and requested the reason why this decision was made.
I received this letter on Apri 12, with the reason that my rate was increased because of "recent balance trend."

I owe MBNA money. I spoke with a woman about setting up a payment plan MONTHS ago (JUNE 06), when all of this started. She was supposed to forward me a statement with my current balance, which I would imagine at this point is much higher than before. September 7, 2006 I called with a problem with my credit card. The individual I talked with helped me. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. She promised she would close this account and open another for me. She said she would send new credit cards to arrive Saturday. I received no cards Saturday, none Monday, none Tuesday.
