I'm writing to alert you to a problem I've had with a credit card issued by you. My problem concerns finance charges. I hope by bringing this to your attention, the problem will be addressed. This incident has made me extremely upset.
Here's what happened: The intrest rate on my account was inreased. What bothers me is that I had no idea that the increase was coming. Unfortunately I made the mistake of relying on your internet site www.mbnanetaccess.com to check on the status of my account (for debits/credits/finance charges/balances)well my reliance on your site cost me 12% intrest, and a hundred and something dollars in charges. With this being the technology age, I would have thought that anything that you would put in the paper statement, you would have put in the online statement, like others do, well I was wrong and it is costing me dearly. As a matter of fact, I was so upset that I closed my account and am in the process of getting a line of credit through my credit union so that i dont have to deal with you guys anymore. The only 'sympathy' I recieved was a supposed 4% drop in the rate from you guys and a beautiful over the limit fee of $35. I expressed my concerns and desires to see this online, but I am unsure if the representative really relayed what I was saying to the right people.
Here's what I want you to do: First, I would like for your company to look into providing this info online through www.mbnanetaccess.com, I know there are more people out there like myself that rely on your website to access their account. I mean that is why your company put the time, effort and money into producing it, correct? It just seems tragic that you offer us this wonderful tool, but you dont provide us with every capability to use it. I would like for mbna to give me a more acceptable rate, delete the over the limit fee, and I would like to see this feature added in the near future. I have no problem reopening my account with your company and keeping it there if you would take care of your customers; however, right now, I feel like a red-headed step child. Considering that I have been with your company for the last 6-7 years.
In the future, I might do business with you. And I might recommend you to others.
I appreciate your taking the time to listen to my complaint. I hope it can be addressed.
