Delinquency met with ennui...

I owe MBNA money. I spoke with a woman about setting up a payment plan MONTHS ago (JUNE 06), when all of this started. She was supposed to forward me a statement with my current balance, which I would imagine at this point is much higher than before. This statement was to be reviewed by us together over the phone and then we were to sit down and develop a payment plan. The service rep and i agreed this was the smartest way to deal with this, and it would also give me time to research my options. I never recieved further correspondence. I am worried what this is doing to my credit. I have since moved and called to change my address and address this, which was simply met with a lack of compromise. I was treated as DELINQUENT despite my attempts to rectify the situation and was told there was nothing I could do and that my debt had been turned over to a collections agency. According to my credit report this is not true. Now that MBNA has been purchased by bank of America, I am confident that this will be more difficult to rectify.

I simply would like to be accomodated with a statement detailing what I owe, from the mouth of the people I owe, not from doing a credit check. I would also like fees to be returned, encurred since June 06 when I first tried to rectify this situation, because I have been RESPONSIBLE about this, and have only been met with a lack of communication. I would also like to set up the payment plan that I had discussed with the customer service rep, whom I unfortunately did not take down her name due to TRUST.

I'm sorry, I don't really have a comment on your actual letter... I'm
just delighted to see the word "ennui" here. Thank you.
