Dangerous Walkway, Which Was Blocked By Soapy Chair, and Door

Posted Mon August 27, 2012 12:11 pm, by Phyllis D. written to mcdonalds restaurant

1st my friend, and I went to Mc Donalds for breakfast, and we were going to go through the door, but I noticed that there was alot of soapy water all over the rear of the restaurant, which preventively to enter, sice I am handicap. We ate, as we were upon to leave Mc Donalds the floor near where I was sitting was wet, and the janitor blocked the handicap walkway, and the soapy water traveled close to where my car was parked. I guess you don't want anymore customers at this location, but things have to change for the better for the customers. Last Saturday, this location had a problem with a customer that ordered twenty hamburgers. The cashier made a big thing of that order, and called someone. Supposed there were twenty customers that ordered one hamburg each, which there wouldn't be a problem.

The janitor didn't put safty first for the customers. I saw a customer come into that door that the whole rear floor was wet for possibly two hours, which wasn't necessary, and very dangerously for all the customers that went into your restaurant. I'm going to sue because he posed a threat for my safty.

So the soapy water prevented you from entering but you managed to eat
there anyway?

Find a lawyer for your case yet?

WOW what if we all sued for everything that COULD have happened?

The solution is simple. If you did not "feel" safe, simply ask for an
escort to your car. From the few times I have been in a McDonalds, I
have found the staff most accomadating and more then willing to
assist/help customers. At the very least I would have spoken to the
manager that was on duty. I am always flabberghasted when people
threaten to sue when a solution was at hand.

How do you know the floor was wet for two hours? Did you stay in
McDonald's for two hours and watched the wet floor?

So they're suppose to know when YOU want to show up so that they can
clean the walkway around your schedule.

You talk about putting "safety first" ... sounds like they did. They
blocked the walkway so you wouldn't fall down on it while it was still
wet.

As for the wet parking lot... what do you do when it rains?

You have no damages therefore no grounds for a lawsuit. At some point
the floors, including the handicapped walkway must be cleaned
otherwise you would be complaining about how dirty it was.

Phyllis D,

The associate putting the order in for the 20 burgers oviously had not
done it before. He had a question and as we all know there is no such
thing as a stupid question except for the one not asked.

As far as you suing for the "posed" danger that you did not get harmed
by. Good luck. Unfortunatley our courts are awash with frivolous
lawsuits. These slow down the process for the ones filed by folks that
were actually wronged as well as those that do not let their situation
define them.

Some cities even penalize plaintiffs in frivolous lawsuits by socking THEM with the court fees by PepperElf Tue August 28, 2012 @ 4:02 PM

They were cleaning, unfortuantely it was when you needed to enter, but
it has to be done.

And I seriously doubt someone would slip on soapy water thats on a
parking lot.

And you sat in McDonalds for 2 hours eating breakfast??
