i got to the drive thru at 10:20pm. i waited for 11 minutes just to put in my order. when i got to the microphone i had to keep repeating the order and i could barely hear the rep. after putting in the order i waited for 27 minutes to get to the pick up window. when i got th the pickup window i waited another 5 minutes. they put the slowest woman ever on the window. my order came to $16 and if i knew i was going to wait that long i would have never stopped. now they are putting in a second drive thru lane and with the speed of their service you may want to bring a lunch while your waiting.

i would like some coupons for either a couple sandwiches or a couple value meals. also would like for them to put quicker people on the window. there was no call for that.

why do you assume its the employees and not the slow customers in
front of you? 90% of the time someone holds up the drive thru because
they are indecisive, or they cause problems at the window.

43 minutes for a nasty burger? You must have been really hungry! I
wouldnt have awaited at the speaker for 11 minutes. And DEFINITELY
would not have waited 27 more minutes to pay. It probably would have
taken less time to drive to the next closest McDonald's ordered, ate
and then driven back to the orginal McDonalds just in time to get your
food. Ridiculous!

that had people out late? Like a concert or a football game?

It just seems weird, no matter how slow the cashier was, that it would
take more than 40 minutes in line. They typically pull people ahead
if they are waiting on items more than 90 seconds to avoid a situation
such as this, so there had to be something more to the scenario.

But I do wonder what good free food would do you if it's going to take
you so long to get it? Is it even worth it?

This is just a general question, but how long is TOO long to wait for
fast food?

I'm curious. A few months ago, I was out shopping and got hungry. I
decided to go through a Burger King drive-thru because I thought it
would be quicker than Subway. I was wrong. I sat in the drive-thru for
nearly fifteen minutes (and this was about 3 p.m., past peak lunch
time). I'm not exaggerating either; I watched my car's clock. After 10
minutes, it kind of became a game; I wanted to see how long it would
really take them. People were clearly angry; one woman was honking
incessantly and finally pulled around and stormed into the restaurant.
Once I got to the window, there was no apology for the wait or
anything.

I never wrote a letter because despite the frustration of waiting, I
really didn't care all that much. But it got me thinking about how
long the average drive-thru wait SHOULD be.

I would not have waited that long. While the service could have been
better, they may have no reason to improve as long as people seem to
put up with it... Speak with your wallet and be sure to let the mgr.
know.

I would have walked in and spoken with a manager, and let him/her know
about the lengthy wait. I have taken also my receipt back the next
day and spoken with managers also.

They may send you coupons from corporate, but a lot of people could
scam the company if they thought they could write and get free
coupons. Good luck though.
