I bought an XBOX360 shortly after they were released by Microsoft. The first generation of XBOX360's released had one of if not the highest rate of failure of any console gaming system. This is a direct quote from a Service Supervisor at Microsoft. He mentioned something like a 30% failure rate.

My Xbox live account was hacked in July '11. I was charged $150 worth of MS Points to my credit card and then my account was "moved" to Russia. I contacted Microsoft immediately and was assured my account and the funds would both be promptly returned to me. my two sons xbox live accounts were hacked back in july. numerous calls to customer support. no help!!! i was told it would take 17 days to resolve. going on 60 days. still no help.
