FRAUDULENT BILLING and Failure to answer the phone

The Mirage double billed our stay and we have been on the phone for over an hour on hold trying just to talk with someone.

Refund the double billing.

Institute a new audit process to check for other cases of FRAUDULENT billing

Hire someone to answer the phone.

I get that you're upset, but it is more likely that it is just an
error. Not every mistake is a blatant attempt to stiff somebody.

And how can one be on hold for over an hour if they don't pick up?
Did someone say they were looking into it? Did they transfer you
somewhere?

Also, are you sure it's not a "pending" transaction where they
authorize the payment before placing the final payment on the card.
Sometimes this can look like double charges until the authorization
falls off (typically just a few days)

If it is in fact two charges, you can always dispute it with your CC
company. Most likley when they see 2 identical charges back to back,
they will take your side and immediately credit back what was taken.
