After thrilling me with short stacks of Premium Saltine crackers for possibly one year now, I can no longer find them in ANY of my local grocery stores in either East Liverpool, OH, or Pittsburgh, PA. I bought yet another package of Chips Ahoy Chewy cookies and I am grossed out for the third time. The first two packages I bought on sale together and the last package I just purchased one single pack. Bought chicken in a biscuit crackers for the first time in a few years. It appears that the recipe has changed, as these had no noticeable flavor except for salt. Thinking that it may have been a dated box, I purchased another and had the same results. I realize that the trans fats are no longer used which affected the cracker's texture. In the cookbook that I compiled some years ago of my favorite recipes, I told my friends and family to always use Nabisco Honey Maid Grahams because that brand was the best tasting. I even recommended never using the store-bought crumbs, but instead to crush the Honey Maid Grahams "by hand"--because of the great texture and crunch.
