Invest in Better Quality Control, Nabisco

Dear Nabisco, I have been a consumer of your Wheat Toasteds for many years now. I eat about 8 crackers per day. In the past year I have noticed a great variability in the doneness of the product. I called a month ago regarding several packages that were overdone, and now today I opened a package that was underdone.

Here's the part that I find annoying. You can tell by looking at the product that it isn't right. In each case that the product was overdone, the crackers had an abnormally deep color, and actually had a brown tint in many places. I knew before even opening the plastic that they didn't look right. And sure enough, they tasted, well, burnt. Definitely a different taste than usual.

Now today, for the first time, when I opened the package I found the tube to be lighter than normal. And when I tasted them, they lacked developed flavor and didn't have the usual crispiness. A definite sign they are underdone.

Nabisco needs to develop a much better system of quality control for this product. I have no interest in eating crackers that taste burnt or underdone, when the usual product is very tasty. At some point, your customer service line will get tired of me calling it, and may stop giving me coupons to get a replacement. The crackers aren't cheap, so expect me to keep calling if the product isn't right.

My friend developed an artificial intelligence based system that scans aluminum beverage cans as they are produced, and detects defective units automatically. Cracker QC may not be as complicated. If you seated me next to the conveyor belt, I could tell just by looking at them if they are good or not. Please note that when this happens, it is the entire package that is affected.

Please invest some capital in a QC system that works to guarantee proper doneness of this product. If I, as the customer, know even before tasting that something is wrong, surely you can stop sending defective product out the door.

This is a great letter. You definately like your crackers. LOL! But
you know, I just recently discovered these crackers when we got them
at work and they are REALLY good. Personally, I like the darker ones.
But thats just me. I also like my popcorn ALMOST burnt. LOL!

Anyway, you give a lot of details and even often to come do the job
for them! I dont think I have ever seen anyone offer to do that! LOL!

I like this letter. Good job. :)
