Premium Saltine pale complaint

Concerning Nabisco Premium Saltines, 16 oz package, please be advised that the last 4 boxes that I have purchased have all been what appears to be under-baked. There is not that familiar, golden brown topping that has been the signature of Premium Saltines for as long as I can remember. What is happening? Is this the new Saltine? If this is the new Nabisco Premium Saltine, I can no longer purchase this product.
Correct this problem and have quality assurance see that all Saltines have a golden-brown topping.

I eat saltines any time of the day or night if I am hungry. But I also love them to be a bit crispier and browner along the edges and golden brown in the middle. In fact if choosing out of a basket presented in a restaurant with my soup, I will always take the darker edged ones...just taste better to me.
They should have a stanadard for baking all of these...maybe they have turned the ovens down to save money...maybe the conveyor was set to move quicker through the oven...whatever the reason I totally agree with you.

I have some saltines that I'm eating right now. A few of them have a small amount of golden brown on the top but most do not. They still taste fine though. As others have pointed out, it is very likely due to a change in the cooking procedure and/or ingredients. Hopefully someone at Nabisco will answer that for you.

Never have had this product so I don't know what you are describing.
Hopefully you get a response, and if you don't hear back other commenters have provided some valuable information below.

I buy these saltines all the time, and they've NEVER had a "golden brown" topping.

Usually there is. If so, they take the UPS, lot # and date of manufacture, the problem with the product, and send you coupons to replace them.
I hope they respond, but check the box and see if you can contact them directly. Good luck.

Wow... first Vegetable Thins, then Graham Crackers and now Premium Saltines! Could this all be due to the elimination of transfats? I wonder if anyone has received a response from Nabisco.
The last box of Premiums I purchased was the multi-grain variety, and they seemed fine. I haven't had the regular kind in a long time, but they don't sound very appetizing.
Please let us know if you get a response. I have never received a reply from Nabisco in the past, but maybe their customer service has improved.
