sneaky size reductiions in graham crackers

new box of graham crackers: reduced size of crackers, same price. I'd be stupid to continue to buy a product with reduced value and same price. It is a rip-off, and I will no longer be buying your grahams. I also NEVER purchase reduced volume ice cream (not a full half gallon) and 6 oz. yogurts that used to be 8 oz. You food manufacturers think people are stupid, but eventually, we wise up, and you go out of business.

go back to the original size crackers, with the same number of crackers per package as that of 20 years ago. Who needs your product anyway?

It is not sneaky, the amount you are getting is clearly listed on the
packaging.

Then I wonder why... by Venice Fri September 18, 2009 @ 3:37 PM

I agree with you on everything, especially the part about
underestimating the consumer's intelligence, however, I do have a
question.

How much of a price increase would you be willing to pay in order for
the crackers, etc. to remain the same size/amount? Since Nabisco and
other companies feel they must downsize their products to meet a
certain profit margin, how willing are you to help them meet that
margin, either by downsizing or price increases? Or do you simply
think these companies should make less profit?
