Crappy service with a crappy phone

I had been a Nextel customer for approx. 5 yrs when I purchased a I860 phone in late 2007. I had the phone about 3 months when it completely failed. Since I had insurance, it was replaced with what Im pretty sure was a refurbished phone, since it never worked right and the back piece never fit correctly on it.
Most of the time , this phone was in a "no service" mode. I called Nextel numerous times asking to be let out of my contract, since I couldnt use this phone, but still had to pay my monthly bill. I had a friend call and he was let out of his contract even tho his problems were not to the extreme as mine. The last straw was when I was in a serious car accident(Jan 2008)and couldnt even call 911 because my NEXTEL phone said "no service", even tho 3 people standing around my car were talking on their cell phones with no trouble. I had to be extracted from my car, had numerous broken bones, lacerations requiring stitches and I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. A couple weeks later, I tried to get out of my contract again with no success.
Fast forward to Aug 2008. After calling unsuccessfully monthly to get out of my contract, during a two week period in Aug of 2008, I called daily. One the 9th day, I talked to someone( Eddie) who promised me a new phone, and that he would make it to my Christmas list because I would be so happy with my new service. This was on a Tues. The new phone was suppose to be sent out next day air; Wed, no phone; Thurs;no phone, Fri. no phone;Saturday, I called NEXTEL and told them to keep their phone, that I no longer wanted their crappy service or their empty promises.
So now, they think they deserve 200 bucks for a broken contract. Even tho I paid my monthly bill for a phone I couldnt use.I could sometimes recieve calls, just couldnt make any. And since I was on the road alot, I needed a phone in case of emergencies; or so I thought.
Eat the 200 bucks; you got enough money out of me for a service I couldnt use to begin with. Stop the phone calls to my house, stop the bills. I have a folder of my contacts with every individual at Nextel documenting my troubles with you. This is not good publicity for your company; especially not even being able to call 911. I was even told I was only in a 'good'area for service by your reps and not 'the best'.
The collection agency you have turned my case over too is gonna be a waste of money on your part,,Like I said, I paid for a service I couldnt use,,you've already got your money!!
Drop the issue,,its been almost two years and I have no intention on paying you for a phone I could not use,,in fact, send a prepaid mailer and you can have your piece of junk phone back!
