I went into the Boost Mobile store in Garden City, Michigan. I purchased a Motorola i465 cell phone and prepaid 50.00 for the unlimited talk, text and web. I thought it would be a great deal. I had already checked to make sure I was in the coverage area, according to the map online, I was in good coverage area. I used my phone outside and around town for about 8 hrs, made a few calls and discovered getting and receiving calls is a real problem AND the text messaging that is suppose to be unlimited never works it takes forever to send and receive messages, every time i try to send or retrieve a message from my inbox it says "downloading" for about 3-4 minutes and then it says "unable to send, transport error!" so what is the use of having unlimited messaging if it's almost impossible to send or receive a message, I also cannot get messages while I'm on the phone, when my call is complete I am bombarded with text messages! And you cannot access any of the free ringtone sites because apparently the device is not equipped to receive ringtone downloads from these sites so your forced to pay $2.99 Per ringtone and the sight does not let you listen to the ringtone before purchasing so you just have to hope it is a good portion of the song you like and of course it's not, one ringtone was maybe 25 to 30 seconds and another was all of 12 seconds this is terrible...if boost mobile is going to charge $2.99 per ringtone they could at least make sure that we as customers are getting our moneys worth or at the very least allow us to listen to the tone before purchasing so we know what were getting. I then called customer care with Boost to trouble shoot, where the CSR assisted my personally and we performed a factory reset... still same problem. I called customer care again to trouble shoot the phone. It doesn't work. They don't have any kind of insurance for those expensive boost phones, if it needs repair they told me to send it to Motorola repair in Texas and they want to keep it for damn near 3 weeks and probably will send it back saying they won't fix it because the problem is due to physical damage. Besides that they won't give me the option of getting a loaner phone or replacing my damaged phone. I bought the Motorola i465 and almost feel too bad to say how much I paid for it, and on top of that the phone won't hold a charge. I inquired about getting insurance when I bought the phone and the salesman said don't worry about it if something happens I'm under manufacturers warranty. So not that something has happened to my phone I am basically f*****... period.
I called customer care and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that "his supervisor did not take calls from customers". Then I asked to speak to Technicians over the Web or the phone and was told "they do not take phone calls from customers". Then I asked to get the corporate number and was told "they do not take customer phone calls" and that he did not have that number.
I demand that I receive a full refund for the purchase price of the phone and my payment of (2) months of horrible service give me any information regarding SPRINT/NEXTEL,or BOOST superiors to resolve this conflict &give me any formal information about Boost Mobile's executive offices where I could dispute their 'policies' and show proof of their debt to me.
