Elizabeth at Nordstrom (800 number)

I was looking for a shoe I found at Macy's on sale. I went in to the store at Perimeter Mall to find they didn't have the shoe. I decided last night to call your 800 number. I spoke with "Elizabeth," who told me Nordstrom would meet the price if she could verify Macy's did indeed have it on sale. She spend a good 15 minutes with me on the phone while looking at the Macys website for the shoe (Merrell Barrado in White). We could not find it on line. I explained I would call back today when they could call the store directly to verify what I was telling her. She asked if she could place me on hold while she asked a question of her Manager. When she came back she told me they would go ahead and match the price. Elizabeth took all of my information and completed the sale for me. My order/confirmation number is xxxxxxxx. Elizabeth was terrific. She displayed exactly what customer service is about. I am thrilled she took the extra step to see if her manager would match the price even without verifying (she did this on her own. I did not ask for this to be done), but what thrills me more about this is she took this on and worked to solve the issue. I would have been more than happy to have waited to call back today, but Elizabeth wanted me to get what I wanted at that time, and not have to wait. She was kind, friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. Thank you, Elizabeth. You have a customer for life!!
