Shady coupons

I went this morning to use a coupon that office depot mailed to me. It was for 15% off HP ink.
I picked out my ink and copy paper and went to check out. The coupon would not work because it was only good on selected HP ink. It did not say that on the coupon, the cashier had to find the mailer that it came from and underneath where you pulled the coupon from it listed the ink it was good on. Of course I was not happy about that so I took the coupon back and told the cashier I will go to Staples and use the coupon there. They will honor it, and I won't waste my time with the deceiving coupons from Office Depot.

I don't know but I think they should know that with business like this they are driving their loyal customers to their competitors.

"underneath where you pulled the coupon from it listed the ink it was good on" Perhaps the information was too much to print directly onto the coupon, so they provided it in another fashion.
