When the phone rang, a voice said "Welcome to Office Depot. This is Norma. How can I take care of your business today?" (or something to that effect). But whatever it was, I was blown away by the commencement of the professionalism of this employee and friendly ring to her voice.
Usually when the phone rings, I can barely make out what the individual is saying because they speak so rapidly as if they are too busy to answer and speak with you. But not with Norma.
I had been sourcing a copy company ALL DAY to produce my workbooks and went to your competitor whose store is right around the corner from where I live for convenience. However they were unable to help me due to a lack of experience of the staff and/or a software program that was incompatible to my files that I needed converted to a workbook. I went to another location of this same company and the same end result occurred.
So I tried Office Depot in which this location is considerably far from where I live.
Norma was able to read the files and allowed me to send her my files for reproduction since the online website was not working for my files.
She was also able to reproduce it, even though she had been busy all afternoon helping customers, in under 2 hrs.
When I saw the end result, I instantly increased by order 16 fold.
Let me just say this. I have NEVER encountered such a professional, friendly and "take ownership" attitude from anyone in any service industry as Norma has performed. They don't make them like Norma anymore. She is a rare find. From one business owner to another, please keep your staff happy. Teach your managers to give them kudos when things like this go right. A "Good Job" goes a long way to keeping staff motivated. I would like to see more Normas hired everywhere. It would make the world a better place. Thank you for hiring such amazing employees.

I am so glad you took the time to let them know about Norma's stellar
demeanor and professionalism.

More people should take time out to thank those that go above and
beyond instead of only complaining about the bad things!
