Great Service from Old Navy's Call Center

Posted Tue September 25, 2007 12:00 pm, by Katie M. written to Old Navy

Write a Letter to this Company

I love Old Navy's clothes, so I asked for gift cards for my birthday. I tried to use one of them on oldnavy.com, and it kept saying that the 4 digit pin was invalid. I kept trying until it locked up the gift card. I called on Sunday and spoke to someone who validated the card and stated that I would need to call back on Monday to place the order. No big deal, I called back. When I called, I was on the phone for 45 minutes trying to place the order. The girl who I spoke with was having computer difficulties, which I understand, but I was also frustrated by the fact that I was still not able to order these clothes. I had to hang up with the girl at that point, because it was just taking too long.

I was very frustrated when I called on Monday at 4:15 and spoke to Jason in your Rockville call center. He has completely renewed my faith in Old Navy. I was calling from my cellphone and didn't have my order info in front of me. He was able to log into your website and place my order for me. Then he figured out the whole gift card problem, all without putting me on hold once! He truly took a negative customer and turned it into a positive one, so much so that I wanted to write a letter commending him for it. Jason is an example of that little extra going a long way to make a customer satisfied. Thank you Jason, you deserve a raise and a gold star!

This is SO COOL!

I've been an ON fan for years (you can't beat their sale prices)and
it's so nice to see that even if they have a glitch, they make up for
it.

I really believe the employees have the power to make or break a
company, and Jason certainly is an asset.

I hope he sees your letter, and thanks for sharing it!

Thanks for the positive letter. It's nice to find a compliment within
all the complaints.

Thanks for letting them know about your great service! I'm glad that
someone was able to help you. I'm sure Jason will appreciate the
letter as well, and he probably wouldn't argue with your suggestion of
a raise either. ;)

Isn't it wonderful when an employee can take a negative experience and
turn it into a postive? I've had that happen before, and it makes all
the difference in how I viewed the experience.

Great letter.
