David Letterman

I am totally thrilled that Olive Garden pulled all their ads scheduled to run on David Letterman for the rest of the season.

Letterman is a troll. Time for more of his sponsors to pull their support. The only way to stop a troll is to pull his funding.

but this isn't a moral move on Darden's part - it's strictly
financial. They're just riding the coattails of Letterman's
notoriety.

They are capitalizing on the fact that Letterman was ignorant and
sucking up all the added (free) publicity from it. All the people who
hate Letterman will go to Olive Garden because they believe they care
and the company's name will now forever be linked to this drama.

Please don't kid yourself - this company is not being sympathetic or
altruistic in the least.

I loathe Olive Garden, so I'm okay with seeing fewer of their
commercials!

So this isn't pulling funding - it is a coincidence.

Robert C.,

I gave it a smile or two when I heard about their decision.

I can take or leave him.

His limp apology and his attempt to apologize for the Palins ( and
everybody else for that matter ) "misunderstanding" what he said is
bogus and lame.

He's now left the door wide open for folks to take a good hard look at
him both at work and on the personal arena.
