Olive Garden should be more attentive

This past Sunday 6/22/09 on this father's day I went to a Olive Garden in Bowie,MD in Bowie town center and was very upset and irritated at the service they provided.I order to go my order was taking promptly by the take out person Raquel and I ask her how long it would take she told me 20 to 25 mins. So I waited an half an hour and my food wasn't ready yet.I went back to the to-go area and there were six other customers waiting for their food as well and the bags for our food were all on the counter unorganized. The manager on duty at the time named Kevin was actually joking with the staff instead of helping them or assisting customers at the time. Another employee was assisting her and was actually putting the meals in the bag and told me it would be only five minutes more and that I was only waiting for my dessert but my soup was not in my bag either, So I had to inform them and after fifteen minutes more of waiting I finally got my whole order. I was in such a rush after waiting almost an hour for my meals, that when I got home one of my meals was wrong and I was given a different entree than what I order. I am highly upset that after that whole ordeal my order wasn't even correct due to the faulty thinking and lack of organization skills of Olive Garden employees running the to-go orders.
I would like Olive Garden to be more attentive to the to-go customers and there orders, and give them a realistic time for when there food will be prepared, and make sure the order is correct.

This is what happens when imature persons are made managers. They would rather play around with the staff than be in charge of them it seems.
I am not one who likes Olive Garden because their food is basically the same thing as say Marie Calandar frozen dinners. Its all pre-portioned out and frozen and then microwaved or warmed on the stove top or in the oven...nothing is home made on the premises.
But I guess that's how most of the national restaurants are nowdays.
I wonder if they were like this just with the to-go orders or if it was mayhem in the dining rooms also.

I hope you called them back as insisted they credit your card for the amount of the wrong order. I have done this twice when I got home and the food was wrong, I will not pay for something I did not order.
This is of course assuming you paid with a CC, but if you still have the receipt I would take that back in and talk to the manager. They need to make it right.

This sounds like a disorganized mess. I hope they get back to you. Even though it was a holiday, they still should get your order right.

This is good feedback. My feelings about Olive Garden as a whole aside, any restaurant in this class should put as much effort into their to-go customers as they do with the sit-down ones. If the food costs the same amount, you should get the same product. And the right one.
I don't think Father's Day is like Mother's Day (a zoo), is it? Still, it is a holiday, and OG's can be packed on any Sunday. Therefore, the wait you had doesn't seem too bad. However, if the place were better organized, that alone would have made the service faster.
I hope this establishment gets back to you - this is very good feedback.
