poor service and quality

We ate at your Clifton Park resteraunt 2 weeks ago. We sat at the bar to get quicker service. Service was not only slow, but poor. Eventhough the server was quite nice to us, she could not get our drink or dinner order correct and she seemed to be more interested in her friends/family who were visiting then her paying customers. Our appetizers did not arrive together (mine had to be asked for a second time) and there was a foreign object in my friends dipping sauce. The main dish was acceptable, but the wait time between sitting down and leaving was over an hour and a half which resulted in us being late for our concert. Your resteraunt was not very busy this night either.
Although our bill was adjusted for our appetizers by your manager, you need to train your staff better to be more efficient and organized in hadling customers and preparation of food.

I don't blame you, Robert! i also had problems with waitresses talking to people while working on the job and not doing their duties. It irritates me!

First, sitting at the bar will not get you quicker service. The bartender usually ends up being your server plus has to make all alcoholic and specialty drinks for the entire restaurant. If you happen to get a "server" they are often spill over servers from the bar. They are normally still attending to patrons all over the restaurant by assisting others deliver drinks.
I think that an hour and a half in a restaurant is about normal. If you wanted faster food you should try Burger King next time.

The servers don't prepare your food and, as Quasi said, if you complained at the time, why the overkill letter?

Surely if you sought restitution from the manager for the appetizer problem, you must have mentioned the service as well?
If not, how come?
And if you did, then this letter was completely unnecessary.
I don't understand why people who have to be somewhere at a certain time stop at a sitdown type restaurant like Outback to eat.
