My boyfriend and I went to Outback located at Taipei, Taiwan recently. We ordered a Queensland Salad and a Outback Sirloin. However, the waitress brought us a Brisbane Caesar Salad. We told her the order was wrong, but she insisted that I pointed the ''Brisbane Caesar Salad'' on the menu. She claimed that the dish has been cooked and didn't want to bring the salad back. We wouldn't like to fight with the waitress so we said fine we'll eat what you brought us. We really didn't like Caesar salad and we wanted our chicken of Queensland Salad. We were very disappointed with Outback Steakhouse in Taiwan.
please retraining your staff. This will be the last time that i will visit outback steakhouse until something is done.We do hope other Outback customers in Taiwan will not experience this dissatisfaction in the future.

Wow, what a nervy waitress. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I have never had a server refuse to take back a dish. I would have insisted, and if she still gave me attitude, asked for a manager.

I was going to try to blame this on a language barrier or cultural differences, but I spent a decent amount of time in Taipei, and really, I think this just comes down to, you get difficult service people all over the world.
However, you were in Taipei! Why on earth would you go to a standard chain place? Taipei is CHOCK FULL of food vendors, cafes/restaurants, with really good Chinese food (um, sorry, Mainland China, I meant to say "Taiwanese food").
And just because it's a chain doesn't mean there's consistency, because they do have to contend with other issues. For example, don't go to Pizza Hut in Taipei -- the Chinese don't have/use tomato sauce, so you get pizza crust, then toppings, then cheese -- no sauce. Spaghetti = noodles and plain ground beef. I wouldn't write off a whole chain because of a wrong salad in a foreign country.
