Waiting

I called ahead for a party of two for 6:30pm sometime last week and me and my date didnt sit down until 8:30, two hours later. I was waiting and saw another couple wait about 30 minutes. I really dont see the point in calling ahead if i have to wait even longer then the ones who didnt. thank you

Another chance to try this again. Perhaps this time I will not have to pay for 2 hours of waiting.

After the first 45 minutes check the status of your wait and ask them
how much longer. If you keep on them they sometimes move things for
you a little better. If they can't then it might be best to go
elsewhere or bring a snack if you must stay until you get your table.

Call ahead seating is not a reservation. You can't call and ask for a
table at 6:30, it's not how it works. It simply gets your name on the
list before you head out for the restaurant. Those people who were
seated first may have called before you did which is why they were
taken first even though they arrived after you.

I think you wrote something like this a few months ago and it got
deleted...something about no ice in the drinks...and you asked for
compensation...they wrote the same letter to 3 different places

That's rough. Yes, next time you should ask them for a free wait.

You should have spoken with the manager about another couple who came
after you getting seated before you. Nice try for free food, though.
