Discontinued Bagel at Panera

My family and I love Panera and eat there often for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We are all carriers of the Panera Rewards cards, as well. I haven't ordered bagels from Panera in a few months because I had abdominal surgery and was unable to eat them for a while. I am now able to eat bagels, and my husband asked me if I would like one, as he was stopping there on the way home from work. I asked him to bring me a Jalapeno bagel, which is my favorite flavor. Not finding any, and not even seeing the bin where they would normally be kept, he was told by the cashier that Panera had discontinued this flavor several months ago. He did bring me another type of bagel, which was delicious, and I have no complaints there. We love most everything at Panera, and the soup there was my best friend during my recovery from surgery.

I am just very disappointed that Panera no longer carries this type of bagel, and surprised, as it was very often sold out and seemed very popular at my local location. Please consider bringing it back!

Go to this Bruegger's in your town:

Dixwell/Hamden (drive-thru)
2425 Dixwell Ave
Hamden, Connecticut 06514

Bruegger's sells jalapeno bagels. And their bagels are wonderful,
unlike the crappy cakey things Panera dares to call "bagels."

Is there an independent bagel shop in your area? We have two, in our
small WI city. I know for sure that one offers a jalapeno bagel; not
sure about the other.
You might want to check out and support a local business.

The spice wimps out there wouldn't try them I guess.
