Point Scam

I received a letter signed by T on Jan. 2nd. I had to wait until Monday Jan. 5th to call. I spoke to someone who said she was going to transfer me to speak w/ T. All I got was another recorded message & then a busy signal when I hit zero.

If someone is being duped when trying to redeem those pepsi points getting a run-around doesn't help. Apparently those points evaporated at the end of 2008. It would've been nice to be able to get something for them. However, I wasn't able to. It's not nice when you're a senior & feel like I've been scammed. What's the sense of buying something when the promotion takes a nose-dive?

It would even then be arguable, because the points were *free*. But the points were good for stuff - Pepsi Point promotions have been run since the 1990's, and billions of points have been *given* away, which translates into millions of dollars in merchandise (and a lot of advertising for Pepsi). All good things come to an end, and the Pepsi Points promotion did on Dec 31, 2008.
