I have never loved pepsi, but had been buying and drinking because of Pepsi Points... well...I never saw that end of the promotion announced, and in fact, have purchased pepsi in Jan with the same old packaging...I will NEVER by Pepsi again, and hope they go down the tubes....they might in my home town, cuz I am the food inspector and they are on my list. Rotten rotten customer service
MAKE GOOD ON THE STUPID PEPSI POINTS> I STILL HAVE A BUCKET-FULL

"They are on your list"? Isn't that an abuse of "power"? You didn't like pepsi in the first place. They can't help it if you can't read the messages and ads that state when a promotion is ending. GET OVER IT!! Hopefully you will think twice before you decide to put someone on your list, it may just cost you your job.

The only disgrace I see here, is you threating to use your position of authority to get revenge on a company.

Doesn't it also say it on the bottle? I'm sure it must have been on the website too. Enjoy your Coke.

I am surprised when I see these complaints. I got no less than FIVE emails telling me the program was about to end.
In fact, the email warnings I received were so frequent they bordered on annoyance.
Additionally, if you logged in to add points etc, you were hit in the face with a large font message telling you the program was ending 12/31.
I just dont see how anyone could miss this deadline.

The promotion ended over a month ago. While I didn't receive a personal notice that it was coming to an end on 12/31, I did see it announced on the site when I was adding in my points, so I planned for it. Sorry, but it's not Pepsi customer service's fault if you didn't do the same.
And how exactly does a "food inspector" send a giant beverage company down the tubes? Are you going to spit in the Pepsi at your local diner and report it to the board of health? Really, I'm intrigued - what are you going to do to take them down?

being a food inspector have to do with Pepsi specifically?
If there is a bottling or packaging plant there in your town, I might see where you had some clout to make good on your threat. But if all you're talking about is bottles of Pepsi in stores and fountain outlets in restaurants, that responsibility falls to the individual vendor and NOT PepsiCo. They can't control what resellers do with their product.

Sooo.... you spent a bunch of money on pop you don't even like to earn points for a bunch of stuff that most likely cost less to just buy outright than it cost to earn the points for it.
And food inspector? Big deal. My friend from college is a meat inspector with the USDA. He's COMPLETELY BLIND.

you are "the food inspector and they are on your list"? and they might go down the tubes in your town because of it?
You actually sent this letter to Pepsi, you know? I assume along with your personal information so that they would have the opportunity to make good on the stupid pepsi points. I can not imagine this letter not being forwarded to someone in their legal department, given that you have made a threat against them. I hope you do not find yourself out of work, especailly in the current economy. Next time take a deep breath and calm down before you communicate - perhaps you would be well served to have a friend or family member read and give input before you send another business letter.
Good luck to you.

This is the type of letter that one should not send when one is angry. You should have waited until you cooled down...but now the damage is done.
If you signed up for this promotion then you received communication when it was ending.
And, even if you missed out on this promotion, it is no reason to threaten to make things difficult for this company.
But now that you have publically made Pepsi aware that you just may do this, I think you had better make sure that any accusations are solid. Otherwise the town you are representing will have bigger problems on their hands and you just may be out a job.

All promotions come to an end, and after sending notices to people enrolled in the program this one did also. One person here reported receiving three emails warning of the end. Message boards on the internet reported of this almost two months before it was over. You must have missed getting the message, but Pepsi didn't make a secret out of it.
