refund customer service

Posted Thu December 20, 2007 1:49 pm, by wanda w. written to pictureme studio at wal mart

On 11-25-07 i took my only grandchild to wall mart picture studio for xmas pics in order to get in plenty of time for xmas presents. told they would be ready by 12-10 went on 12-16 to p/u were told there was a digital problem at lab and no guarantee they would be ready by xmas. paid 116.57 cash asked for refund and was told it could be handled by corporate. went home called corporate took 25min for someone to talk to asked when to expect refund told me to hold and was disconnected. i have spent over 100.00 on frames only to have to return no appology poor customer service this is and will be my only grandchild and this xmas won't be as merry as it should be. they had ample time to call and tell me their was a problem and we gladly would have went back for retakes have e-mailed their corporate office and waiting for a response of some kind.

return me my money in a timely matter since they already have it

Please file acomplaint with the St. Louis, Missouri Better Business
Bureau. I had a horrible experience with PictureMe. The photos were
terrible, the associate overcharged me and they refused to give me a
refund. It's been a nightmare. I was shocked to see all the
complaints at sites like this online but no complaints with their
coorporations local Better Business Bureau. Please file a complaint
there. Here is their website:

They refuse to give me a refund...

Valid complaint. A real bummer.

Really crappy letter..........this isn't an e-mail ya know! You write
like you're taking short hand. Knock it off!

Gee, take a breath already. If you talk like you write I am sure you
would need oxygen.

Granted Christmas will not be as memorable as if the photos were done,
but be blessed that you have the live version to hold and shower with
hugs and kisses.

Take your own photos on Christmas day...and have others take them too.
You will be very surprised how beautiful some of these come out...and
they are not as posed as the studio ones.

Have a blessed and Merry Christmas with that beautiful grandchild.

To be fair, I think there's a valid complaint buried in this mess of a
letter. At the very least, Walmart should've informed her in a more
timely manner that there was a problem with the pictures and they
wouldn't be ready by Christmas.

But yeah, I agree this letter needs a serious rewrite. The OP also
needs to kill the guilt manipulation about a Christmas that isn't as
merry as it should be. That statement has been way overdone lately.

Be thankful then. My mother died having never become a grandmother.

Have a Merry Christmas and be thankful for your family and health.
Pictures from Wally World don't have anything to do with the holiday.
A living human being means a heck of a lot more than a piece of paper
with an image on it.

You got disconnected, so call again.

This letter is very poorly written. According to you.. you only have
to capitalize the very first word in a whole PARAGRAPH. I hope you
don't help the child with English homework......

Your Christmas wont be as merry as it should be because you didnt get
Christmas pictures from "wall mart"?!

Give me a BREAK!!!

What about the people who cant afford picture? What about those who
cant even afford PRESENTS!!!???

While the situation is upsetting, you really shouldnt have waited that
late in the year. When I took my son to get Christmas pictures taken
when he was younger I went in October. Never had a problem. Waiting
until a month before Christmas is just asking for problems.

This letter is really bad. Besides the guilt trip of not having a
merry Christmas because you didnt get the pictures in time, the whole
thing is just poorly written.

I feel sorry for you that your entire Christmas merriment revolved
around pictures.

Get a camera and take some yourself.

I have to agree with the other posters... This letter isn't very
professional.

Its as the saying goes "you catch more flies with honey..." If your
letter is professional and polite, you are more likely to get a timely
and favorable response.

This is purely constructive criticism. I hope you consider re-writing
this in a business letter format.

If this is the exact letter that you sent to them, then you will not
get a response. The letter is one big run on sentence. Fix the issues
eith the letter first, re-send it, then see what happens.

This letter needs a serious rewrite. Here are a few suggestions

"I" is always capitalized
pictures not pics
Christmas not xmas
Capital letters go at the beginning of each sentence not just once at
the beginning of the letter
Puncuation!

If you're not going to take your letter of complaint seriously, why
should anyone else?
