unsafe driver

Today I have been cut off by the same delivery driver twice. We have a construction zone that reduces our normal two lane main road to only one. He gets in the left lane and then spews smoke as he races to get ahead of the cars that were considerate and got to the right.
I have called the local store and spoke with Christine the manager (June 29th at 7pm). I did this hoping she will take care of the problem. I'm reporting it here in hopes the corporate office will follow up on the situation.
I reported the driver to the local police. If I see he is in the paper for having an accident, I will be more than willing to share with the other driver my complaint.
This delivery guy is a liabilty!

I am certain he has been instructed on the proper delivery procedures.
Since he is a danger to himself and others he should be released. He is driving around with your name on top of his truck acting like an idiot.
He acts like he has 30 minutes or less. However I know better. That program was halted I believe due to the liability issues it was causing for the pizza delivery industry.

many of the drivers (i mean jerks) on the road in va beach were like
that. zip ahead and cut you off just to take an exit to the right...
when they could have just stayed in their original lane and taken the
exit... but noooo it's too slow for them.

but ... now i'm really pissed.

i don't think about it much but... back about 15 years ago my first
boyfriend was hit by a pizza delivery guy who drove like an idiot.

driver was doing 70mph in a 30 zone making a delivery. the boyfriend
bounced off the front of his truck and hit his head on a guard-rail.

Not sure if he ever fully recovered from the brain damage.

So yeah... I have very strong negative emotions regarding pizza
drivers who drive like jerks.

I don't think its considerate to merge to the right early, this just
interrupts the flow of traffic more than it already is. Both lanes
should be maintained until the merge point. If fact, there are
several signs in the construction zones on my way to work that say
"Maintain both lanes until merger point"

This is an unwritten law. If you see a vehicle with one of those
lighted signs on it, pull over.

A lane changing, smoke-spewing cutter-offer in a 1984 Ford Escort is
not to be toyed with.

I would like more details about the "spewing smoke" maneuver.

Is he getting in the soon to be closed lane, zipping ahead, and then
merging at the last possible minute and cutting you off at that point?
Is being "considerate" merging early?

I think that what he is doing is legal, but not necessarily the safest
or most considerate. Pizza drivers are not traditionally either of
those two.

taking down the license plates of all the other drivers who are making
legal maneuvers?

He's driving correctly. Several state's DOTs have issued
educational/informational statements to the public: When two lanes
are being reduced to two, cars should fill both lanes, then "zipper"
in at the end every other car.
