Write a Letter to this Company | Rate this Company
I'm curious guys, there was a time as I recall when I posted a complaint on your website it would be fowarded to somebody who had something to do with the company I was complaining about, and somebody from the company would respond and really be concerned. Now it seems that Planet feed back has become a haven for nutjobs who have nothing better to do but stick their nose in when then they are not affiliated with anything but the desire to be noticed. I've decided to stop using planetfeedback and deal with the companies directly. You guys use to rock back in the day but now it's nothing more then a BLOG!!!!

Well, I was here reading letters almost since day one, (which I think was in 1999) and I remember a time when anyone could post anything and there was a lot of flaming and cusring and insulting going on. Things have definitely been cleaned up and improved since that time!!!!
If PF WORKS, why not continue to use it? You don't have to share your letter, you know. And who cares about the comments people make! Only your letter is forwarded to the respective company, not some of the nonesense under it.
Oh and I disagree that PF is nothing but a blog now. All they basically did was add more features which is cool. The letters are all still here.
Sorry Adam, but everything changes in time and ALL companies try to make improvements here or there. PF is no exception.

you're happy about the situation.
The comments that are provided have no bearing on the disposition of the letter to the company. The decision to respond or not to respond is completely at their discretion. We've even had companies respond to the letters here online, which is kind of cool - it allows EVERYONE to see how they handle things.
I dont see how getting commentary on a letter makes those who comment a "nutjob," but just as you are entitled to your own point of view, so are the commenters.
It's not about "sticking their nose in" to your business, but many of us have had experiences on both sides of the customer service desk and can (and do) offer insight as to WHY companies do what they do, or how you could change your approach to get a better response. If you choose not to heed that advice, thats your prerogative, but it doesnt hurt anything to at least CONSIDER the suggestions.
Bottom line, none of us as commenters have ANYTHING to do with whether or not you get a response, and more than likely has everything to do with any problems the commenters may have pointed out to you.

I'm not sure I understand your letter, Gilbert. You say there was a time when you posted complaints on PFB, and they were forwarded to somebody who had something to do with the company you were complaining about. As far as that process is concerned, nothing has changed. Whether or not you get a concerned response, or any response for that matter, has nothing to do with the commenters or even PFB. Perhaps it's a sign of the decline in customer service in general, or maybe your letters fail to generate the interest of the recipient. Instead of blaming this website, maybe you should take a closer look at your letters to see if there is any room for improvement. It think it's a good idea for you to experiment with writing to the companies directly. Please let us know if that method renders results more inclined to your expectations.
Good luck.

There is a simple solution if you don't want people commenting on your letter.....don't post it so EVERYONE can read. Just don't click the "share" box. Then you won't have to justify your complaint to anybody. But, in most cases the feed back people get is good feedback, and generally you see the "nut job" responses to nut jobs who write bogus letters.

PFB works fine. They do forward your letter, and you can mail a hard copy as well. PFB never guaranteed any company would respond.
You could check the site out before leaving, look at the rating section fro the company you wrote to see what the ratings from all the letters and people who shop there have to say.

Have you had a problem recently with a company not responding? They don't always, but a lot do.
Did you have trouble sending a letter to a specific company?
If you have been hanging out here, you would know the site is working just fine. Welcome back.
