What's the worst thing you can do after I spend 30 minutes writing a complaint letter and click on the next button? LOSE THE TEXT! And that is exactly what you did. I have been told you don't want text cut and pasted from Word but if you go and lose my work then what?
Get your damned system to work so that this NEVER happens again. Keep back-up text to restore, do what you need to do, but don't lose a letter.

Actually in my last letter to Wal-Mart I was ABLE to cut and paste from Microsoft Word (2000 version)without a problem.
I suggest that anyone who thinks they may run overtime do a "copy" (i.e. from the copy and paste routine) of the existing text from the PFB screen. This is sort of like doing a "save" every now and then.

THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM AS THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME ON 7-4-08. I AGREE 100% WITH YOUR COMMENTS EXPECIALLY ABOUT BEING ABLE TO CUT AND PASTE.

Unfortunately, our system does time folks out after 15 minutes and, at the moment, there's nothing we can do to correct that. We have posted a warning in the letter generator (step #2)to that effect. In the same step, we also suggest that letter writers write their letters in a plain text editor such as WordPad and then copy/paste it into our letter generator.
We're sorry this happened to you and we'll be sure to pass your feedback on to our developer.

Maybe a comet hitting the planet, or a nuclear holocaust. But LOSING THE TEXT is in the top 5.
Did you ever get to post your message?

Look at the bright side.. you could have spent **60** minutes writing the letter.
To avoid losing a letter, write it as a draft in your email and paste it in the letter generator. That way if you get timed out and your letter is lost, you will still have a copy and won't have to rewrite it.
