Write a Letter to this Company

I was browsing different websites looking for the best deal on a rental car. I bid too low twice before apparently "winning" a bid which was 50 dollars higher than what I previously found. I did not know I had been charged for this and that there were no refunds or cancellations. I ended up renting another car not knowing I even had a reservation with your company. I tried to have Chase fight this for me and they lost. I called AVIS who the deal with with through you guys and they didn't receive a penny since I never picked up the car. You guys kept 235.74 and didn't do a thing to earn it. Wouldn't give even a partial credit or nothing. Does that sound morally right? Have mercy.

Refund my money. If not, please keep it and give me some type of credit. Meet me halfway Jesus!

Priceline REQUIRES you to enter your credit card info when placing a
"bid." Didn't that kind of clue you in that it might be binding and
that going out for another vehicle might not be a wise choice?

This isn't a "moral" dilemma - it's a financial one. When you provide
your banking or credit information to sites or companies, you should
always assume that you will be charged at some point - that's why they
ask for it.

As to them not giving Avis the money, that's between Priceline and
Avis.

Sorry its not the companies fault that you went out and rented a car
while you had a bid going. Next time take the time to read the TOS of
the websites you use.

I think it is "morally right" they held a car for you all day, I dont
think its right you stood them up and never picked it up like you
agreed to do before you put a bid on it.

Did you by any chance notice an immediate authorization for the amount
on your card?
