For my best friend birthday a group of friends and I decided to take her out for dinner. Well little did we know our group of ten would have to wait 30 minutes to be seated. well ok this is fine we can entertain our selves for a while. When we were finally seated after a 30 minute wait now our waitress is a real JERK! we ordered from our waitress recived our food finished our meal we decided we were going to sit just talk for a little while before our night out on the town when our waitress came over with the check which I paid for everyone ($200.00) and left her a 16% tip she collected all funds off my debit card after i signed the my debit card five minutes later she informed us she needed our table for other customers!! I could have easily hurt her feeling however we collected our belongings and left. I can not understand why she would be so rude to us, I left her a good tip. i also attempted to contact the manger the following day and could not reach him or her. I will not be having anymore of my friend out for dinner at your establishment for a LONG TIME BECAUSE OF ONE RUDE SEVER!!!
I don't know how they could correct this problem.

I'm sorry hunny but 16% IS NOT a good tip. 20% is a GOOD tip. Personally, if the service is exceptional I usually aim for 20%, if the service was ok I aim for 15% and anything less than ok I aim for 10% or less depending how bad the service was because even the worst servers have to get paid. And I am talking about dinner with myself and 1 or 2 or 3 other people, not a group of 10 on a friday night! The kind of attention your group deserved was worth much more than 16%.

A 30 minute wait for such a large group, on a Friday, a busy day for any restaurant, and even busier for a seafood restaurant during Lent is not unreasonable.
Furthermore, if other people are waiting, you should have some consideration.

You weren't happy about having to wait 30 minutes (not long), but you wanted to linger and let someone else wait. You can't have it both ways.
16% is NOT a good tip. Where I work, parites of 8 or more automatically get 18% gratuity added to the bill.
20% is considered a good tip.
"I could have easily hurt her feelings..."
That would have been very immature. Thank you from refraining from that.

On the first part of your complaint, waiting 30 minutes for a group of 10 doesn't sound bad at all, depending on the time of day, and day of the week.
On the second part, the waitress was out of line. She may have thought she had good reason to move you all along, but I don't think they should ever tell you to go.

You have every reason to be upset. It's ridiculous for a server to inform you that she needed that table five minutes after paying the bill.
Hopefully Red Lobster will respond to your feedback.

you didn't realize that sitting and doing nothing but talking once the bill was paid might cause others to wait to be seated.
