Samsung Thought to be a good brand, Maybe not!

Purchased this product just 15 months ago to replace a working unit in our house. Just 15 months later we're paying more than $200 to have its control panel replaced. The unit started turning on by itself and we had to unplug the unit to get it to stop. I contacted Samsung who set up a service appointment and when they arrived I was shocked to receive a bill!

repair or replace the unit at no cost.

Did you get an extended warranty? If not, then yes, you have to pay
the bill.

NO manufacturer will repair or replace ANY product no longer under
warranty if the consumer did NOT get an extended warranty.

Why were you shocked to receive a bill? The unit was out of warranty
so of course they would charge you to repair it.
