Kenmore Range

My husband and I purchased a Kenmore range in 2008. Last year the control board burned up and we need to replace it.The service required two days to repair (and two days off of work) since they had to order the part. We got a service agreement and one year and two days later the same issue has occurred. Sears required us to purchase a new agreement since the old one was for one year and we did. The serviceman came out this week and once again the part needed to be reordered.I was scheduled for the work to be done today. They just called to reschedule. I am now stuck with yet another day to be taken off of work. It's unbelievable how a company can not provide you with the customer care that they say they have. I'd love to know if anyone else has had issues with their ranges. To have this occur twice within a year is insane.

Pay for the part to be replaced.

but it does sometimes happen this way. The fact that you are out of
warranty means that they are not liable for it. Whether it's one
month, one week or one minute past the expiration, they have to honor
the contract, or what is the point of having it expire at all if they
just go ahead and keep extending it indefinitely?

I've never had a Kenmore stove. My last 2 were Whirlpool and I think
this one is a Kitchenaid. Can't speak to the quality, but Kenmore is
usually more reliable than not.

Might just be a fluke or bad stroke of luck to get 2 to break like
that.
