I am disgusted with the employees at the Sears in Taunton, MA. I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. I was involved in a situation at their store on 3/17/09, and it could not have been handled any worse than it was. They are immature, rude, and unprofessional. I think it's time for a whole new staff! The manager was the worse. It was impossible to know he was the manager because he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans! I would never be caught dead shopping in another Sears, and I have told everyone I know about this experience. I look forward to the day they go out of business!
Apologize and fire their ignorant employees.

This mall is really close to me, so I know what Kathy is talking about. This store is probably one of the dumpiest Sears locations now. It wasn't always this way, but now my mother won't even shop there anymore, and she used to be very loyal to Sears. They have absolutely no selection in clothing, the store is a mess, and you can never find anyone to help you.
Personally, I think this whole mall is going downhill. Sad. I remember when it first opened.

especially now in this economy, that people are so "traumatized" by an experience that they would wish unemployment upon thousands of people.

After reading the letter again, I wonder if the manager in question wasn't a loss prevention manager. From my retail days I know they usually dress in plain clothes to blend in with customers. Maybe this was a loss prevention situation and that's why the OP is reluctant to share the information as to what actually happened.

It is easy to see you are disgusted, but it a complete mystery as to what the cause is (other than the manager's clothing). Without facts, I am not sure what Sears will do with this letter. But I think I do.

This doesn't let the company help you out...what did they do, what was the situation?
I don't get why the manager was wearing jeans...maybe it was causal day at Sears; I know sometimes my store lets us wear jeans. Maybe it was a receiving/MPU manager--they can wear jeans and sometimes wear sweatshirts because it's cold on the dock. (You are in MA, I guess it's still cold up there??)
I suggest you go to sears.com, scroll to the bottom and fill out the spiffy new form under "contact us." In the "subject" field, select "issue with a store."
Or you could even call National Customer Relations at 1-800-549-4505.
Anyhow, thanks for looking forward to me losing my job! :) :) :)
Good luck!
