Bad Customer Relationships

Posted Wed July 11, 2012 10:14 pm, by Phyllis D. written to Shaws Supermarker

I've been a customer of your stores since you opened, and some of your employees are very rude, which includes the day manager, which he doesn't know the rules on how to play the game. I went out of the way to buy food that will allow me to get many tickets, and I received one. I should have canceled the order. That day I didn't have my Shaws card, and this is what I said. Both the cashier, and the store manager told me that without the card I couldn't play the game. They said it was one of the rules in the book. So I went home, and I read the whole book a few times, and it read you need the Shaws card only when you redeem for a prize. I, then called the Warwick Store, and talked to the store manager, and he was very rude, and hung up on me. So I don't shop at your store too much anymore.People in New England never win big prizes either.

They owe me ten tickets, since I bought items I really didn't want. You should try to make it much easier for any customer win a good prize, and not $5.00 to $500.00. Your employees have to smile, and talk nice to the customers. Sirs, I'm very handicap senior woman, and I make conversations with everyone. I also joke, too. Your store manager is a angry, or a very unhappy person. He needs to lighten up, and he will be happy.

Most companies have a website that you can go to in case you have any
questions about something, such as this particular game. The rules of
this particualr game are indicated on their website. Using their
website would prevent possbile problems from happening.

Then if you have a question, you can always contact the company via
their website.

It sounds like he knew the rules just fine.

He just didn't bend them for you.

When you use your Shaw's Rewards Card® you will also receive one (1)
"Bonus Game Ticket" (while supplies last) for each Bonus Game Ticket
product you purchase. The total number of Game Tickets you earn in
each transaction will be printed on your Shaw's® register receipt.
Game Tickets will only be awarded during the transaction in which they
were earned.

Where does it say that you don't have to have your card to obtain the
bonus tickets? I sure as gallifrey-on-fire don't see it. Except of
course if you're trying to mail in for free tickets, which is a
unicorn of a different color altogether.

There's a difference in not knowing the rules and not breaking them
when customers demand it

dear god, you had the time to read the book "several times" but
couldn't take the time to make sure the stupid card was in your
purse/billfold? Why not just keep it on you?

Every promotion at Shaw's requires you to use their loyalty card.
That's what triggers the event in the POS system. Same with Stop &
Shop.
