Singer Quantum Stylist 9960

I have purchased a Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 Sewing Machine back in November... after using it lightly it broke just two month after I bought it. Now a few moth later the machine stopped again.
The problem is the same..a fuse.

The Singer Consumer Affairs Department
SVP Worldwide advised me to ship the machine back to Georgia at my expense, I live in South Carolina.

Unbelievable as that may sound, I just received a call from the service center, they no longer work on singer products...and what they should do with my machine.

I do not feel I should have the burden to send this machine every couple of month to the repair shop...never mind the expense.

I would really like to have this machine replaced
because it is an inferior machine.

I am currently dealing with this same issue. I got the machine" SINGER
9960 Quantum Stylist 600-Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine" for
mothers day 2012, used it lightly for 31 days and not everyday, and it
quit! ,Sent it back, received a new machine. Within 36 days same thing
happened,This time I sent it to Singer Center in KY for repair. It is
a fuse. What the heck? I live in NC, it only cost $23.00 to ship it
there but took over two weeks for the repair and now I am waiting for
it to be returned to me.I am hoping I do not have this problem again.
The repair center asked me if it is plugged into a surge
protector...YES.. Then they asked if I had been sewing for longer than
two hours...NO, So he could not tell me why the fuse blew with normal
light sewing.
