I bought 4 new iPhone 4gs phones the second week Sprint offered them. When I had them activated the data was very slow, so I called the store and they specified to wait a week as the network is bogged down with activations. After one week I called tech support as the ohnes were not useable for data connections so I opened a Ticket and the resolution was to wait 2 additional weeks as the network was still over utilized, and I was told it should be better within 2 more weeks. After a few months of slow data still I placed a ticket with networking as we did many tests, all yoieding about 12 to 50 kBs. This was sent to networking multiple times and it came back as ok at the towers. I use many towers traveling NE Ohio and its the same at each. After a month of this I was told to take one of my iPhones to an autorized sprint repair center, so I took a day off of work to go there today.
Sprint sore : The teo guys were very open and said theres nothing they can do as it should go back to apple but they would do some basics network test over the next few days. Very helpfull and honest. They hinted I should just go to Apple and let them look and that Sprints network is very slow until the new one is up in late 2013.
Call BAck to support - After telling them i spent a day going back to the sprint store they said you should have gone to apple?? I wish they knew this when they sent me to the support store! I was then told networking said everything is ok so im on my own. After spend $240 a month for 6 months that was not the answer i want to hear. I then said simple return my full investment and I will got to a new network, this turned into a there is no issue as I still get data, and its to bad its slow, as they are upgrading the network just keep paying. I then asked here if she bought a car and was paying $900 a month for it, then found it wont go faster than 10 MPH would she be ok with that? I mean she can still get to work and it does actually work right? This led me to an escilation manager.
Escilations manager, starting off pleasant once again I explained my entire story. He said the same thing, data is working so you have no complaint with Sprint anymore. I then said 12kbs shouyd not be considered ok. He said I should have cancelled my contract in the forst 14 days. This led to me asking him to look ar the tickets i had in week 1 and 3, he said sorry. I asked waht was the purpose of telling me it will be ok in 2 more weeks on day 7 then? He said it kept you on and we want to retain out customers!!! I then said so they lied to me to retain my contract? He had a sudden change of attitude and said I signed a contract and they are not responsible for data speeds!
50kbs is not even dial up speeds! AWFUL
I want a written apology, a refund of all my money spend on data in the last 6 months ofver 4 iPhone packages, and the issue resolved. Or a complete refund from day one so I can go to a network that offers 3g speeds or at least close.
Even the network tech told me anything under 300kBs is NOT ACCEPTABLE on the SPRINT network.
