Both Bad Phone Service and Customer Service

Posted Mon May 14, 2012 5:54 pm, by Billy B. written to Sprint/Nextel

I placed a call today (05/14/12) to Sprint/Nextel customer service asking for assistance in the service I get in my area which is very poor. I asked the customer care person "Sean" if someone could come out and ride with me in my area or I ride with them to show them the issue because for the amount of money I pay monthly my phone calls get dropped continuously. He suggested I take my phone to the Sprint store in town to have them check my phone but I explained to him that it wasn't my phone it was the area I lived in and according to the their map, once I narrowed it down to my distinct area it showed the service was only fair which is something they failed to tell me. I actually updated my phone not too long ago thinking my phone was the issue which, of course, locked me into another 2 year contract. So I didn't feel by asking for them to send someone out to check the issue or install a cellular repeater or antenna at no additional cost. Well Sean puts me on hold and a Rachel comes back on, I go over the same issue with her. She attempts to try to sell me something to which I ask her why I would I want to buy anything when what I currently buy from you isn't working. We bicker bak and forth and I asked for a supervisor, she informs that she is. I ask for her last name, she refuses to provide it. I ask for her supervisor and she refuses to allow me to speak to him. So in them meantime I'm just getting more and more frustrated and absoulutely horrible customer service and I'm still paying every month for nothing.

I would either like Sprint/Nextel to provide the antenna or celluar repeater at no extra cost or completely cancel the remainder of my contract.

You may have answered your own question already.

"according to the their map, once I narrowed it down to my distinct
area it showed the service was only fair "

So the map is accurate and you can access those maps without a
contract. So your stance is that you weren't informed...

I don't see how that's going to work for you, since you have already
admitted the information was available to you - if you chose to look
for it.
