Staples Shows Their Stellar Service!

On 5/23/07 I was preparing for a major presentation to a client with my boss.
It was decided that we should offer have our presentation bound for the committee members to provide an exceptional impression.
Having no internal means to do this and not being impressed with with the service we've had from our local Kinko's in short turn around times, I went to the Staples store on Brookpark Rd. in Brooklyn, OH.
My order was originally handled by ***** who did an excellent job of producing 30 copies of our presentation in about an hour in spite of the fact that it was lunch hour.
However, when I returned, I found that my boss and some other members of the committee had made several last minute changes to the presentation that needed to be fixed - by the end of the day.
It took us about 2 hours in our office to make all the changes final, get everyone involved to approve them and then I rushed back to Staples to see if they could fix it.
A manager was at the copy center when I returned. I explained the situation to him and told him we needed the changes made as quickly as possible as it was already after 5:00 and my boss was waiting at the office for the presentation to take with him.
***** called for another manager, explained the situation and they both got to work making the changes.
*****, who had helped me earlier, returned from her break and also joined in.
In spite of numerous changes, they had everything completed in about 45 minutes.
The presentation was flawless and went over well with the clients and it was due in large part to the hard work this team put forth for us.
Staples has long been my preferred office supply store, but after this experience, they've definitely solidified my loyalty with them.

Awesome letter! I love Staples, and do my supply shopping there every year, mostly because I'm picky when it comes to school supplies (ie, I need fine-tipped fountain pens over ballpoint, hard lead pencils over standard...), and they seem to have everything.
It's great to see that they do everything they can do to please the customer.

Thanks for sharing this one! I rarely had a bad experience with Staples. Their stores are set up logically, staff always helpful or willing to find help for the customer. This was above and beyond "good" and deserves to be applauded. Something other office store chains seem to have lost sight of IS the service aspect of the business.
