Defective camera bag

I purchased a Case Logic Camera bag from the Staples store on Union Street in Bangor, Maine 3 days before leaving for a 2 week vacation in Florida. The strap was improperly stitched and pulled out. Within a couple of days of returning from vacation I returned to the store and explained the defect and requested to have it exchanged. I was told by customer service that they couldn't exchange it because it was over 14 days (I was in Florida). The customer service employee made no further attempt to help me or suggest how to resolve this defective product.

I am a practice manager in a doctors office and I spend thousands of dollars in this store annually and at this point that has come to an end. Where is the customer service? Where is the 100% customer satisfaction guarantee? There should be no questions in this situation. Staples would have no issue obtaining a credit fron Case Logic for this product.

This product was an obviously defective, purchased less than 30 days ago and I feel that such a product should be exchanged without question. Staples should review and revise thier exchange policy is this is is thier actual store policy.

I know Staples has a 14 day return policy on technology items but a
camera bag isn't a technology item. All other items used to have a 30
day return policy. I'm not sure it they changed it or not since I
rarely shop there anymore. I find their merchandise to be greatly
overpriced and the employees are always pushing the overpriced and
useless warranties.

I suggest checking the return policy on the company website and then
returning to the store and try again. Maybe you will get someone who
realizes a camera bag is not a technology item.

Thats the problem with buying stuff just before you leave for
vacation.

I would contact the manufacturer and see if they can do anything.

The store doesnt care if you were on vacation, you didnt return it in
time to fit their rules. 100% customer satifaction doesnt mean you
can ask for anything and get it. Im not satified until I win the
lottery, doesnt mean the store has to keep giving me free tickets til
I win, I mean I wont be satified otherwise.
