Wasting water

I travel quite a bit and frequent many Starbucks. It really irks me when I see the water in the sink running continuously to rinse one container (with no one near the sink). I am in the Cincinnati airport where I noticed it. I mentioned it to the clerk and she did turn the water off. This is not the first time I have seen this.

This is a major waste of water.

As a director of safety and environemntal I invite you to make it a policy NOT to continuously run the water in the sink to rinse one container.

Hi Eugene:
I may have to agree with you about the water-wasting thing, but
however, to me water's just water. It's not like that all the water
in the world is gonna go away, you know. I'm just sayin'...

I am seen a few versions of this letter on a couple sites lately. I
wonder if an environmentalist group has started a letter writing
campaign?

I will need to pay attention to see if Starbucks does this in my area.
if they do, i will ask the manager why.

Eugene,

Keeping the water running in the dip area is one thing but what you
describe sounds like a sink.

Hope that they get back to you and I hope you gave them the lcoation
of this particular store.
